Biography

Polly Morgan is a British contemporary artist who is best known for her thought-provoking and often unsettling sculptures of taxidermied animals. Born in Banbury, England in 1980, Morgan initially trained as a taxidermist before turning to art.

Morgan's sculptures are characterized by their intricate attention to detail and their ability to transform the ordinary into something extraordinary. She often works with animals that have died of natural causes or been ethically sourced, using their remains to create surreal and thought-provoking works of art. Her works often challenge our assumptions about life, death, and the relationship between humans and animals.

One of Morgan's most famous works is her 'Taxidermy Magic' series, which features sculptures of animals that have been transformed into seemingly impossible shapes and configurations. The series is a testament to Morgan's skill as a taxidermist and her ability to create works of art that are both beautiful and thought-provoking.
